When God Called the youngest:

1.- Joseph (Genesis 37—50)

One of the best known examples of a young man used by God is Joseph, who was rejected and sold by his brothers when he was just 17 years old.

Joseph was placed over the assets of one of the most powerful men in Egypt. This young man  ran away from sin and exalted the name of Jehovah above all things; He proved to be compassionate and merciful.

2.- Samuel (1Samuel)(1 Sam. 13:14)

Samuel was offered to God and left in the temple when he was just a child to be cared by the priest Eli. At approximately 11 years old, he heard the voice of the Lord that revealed the wickedness of Eli’s sons. Samuel declared to Eli the revelation he had received and since then he became one of the most respected prophets in all of Israel.

3.- David

Although David was the youngest among his brothers, this was not a reason for him to feel less than them, instead, this young man had a fierce faith, that he was able to face the Philistine giant Goliath. Being just a boy, he worked herding sheep; so, he spent a long time of his adolescence in anonymity, being prepared by God to carry out his purpose.

4.- Josiah

Josiah became king of Israel at the age of 8. This young man did the right thing in the eyes of God; He began searching for Him. Being still young, he decided to return the Ark of the Covenant to the temple, in addition to purifying Judah and Israel of the carved and cast images of strange gods. Josiah remained faithful to God and was considered one of the best kings in all of Israel.

5.- Jeremiah

The purpose that God had for Jeremiah is wonderful. Since he was in his mother’s womb, the hand of the Lord was upon him. Jeremiah became one of the most important prophets in the Bible, the most surprising thing is that God was preparing him from before his birth.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” Jeremiah 1: 5.

6.- Timothy

Timothy as a young man became one of the pillars of the gospel of his time.

It is considered that he was only 25 years old when he was the pastor of the Ephesus church. This young man did his best and strove to spread the gospel of the Lord.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity” 1 Timothy 4:12.
